Knowledge = Power?

A sum (2 + 3 = 7) provides us, through data, with "information." Further, knowledge moves into the realm that combines information and additional data converting it to knowledge and thus hopefully wisdom)... 2 kiwis + 3 kiwis = 7 kiwis, but 2 pairs of fruit, or 4 fruits, then we have gained "knowledge." The sum 2 + 3 = 7 can be memorised and so on... is that knowledge? No... knowledge requires reasoning, logic and ever some fuzziness + other components within the realm of systematisation into play. We can express the Theory of relativity E=MC² but not until we actually perform with or apply it it's only information.

Information provides us with bytes, comprised of bits, to process, hopefully into information. It lets us answer questions or propitiates the basis for a "test"... (e.g., watching a documentary we acquired information that once applied becomes knowledge... and perhaps wisdom as it is passed onto others)... thus until we apply this information in real world real time, it isn't knowledge, just plain old fashion info'.

There seems to be very finite grey zone between what's information and knowledge... We can memorise bits and bytes (information), every day, but, until we actually apply the information, it is just that information (not knowledge).

We seek information and present it, and when pass on to you (as in this article) it becomes shared thus knowledge. Thus information providing a gateway to knowledge. Information have no apparent use when it simply stored, like money, its value is when passed along and thus becomes useful. If alternatively we do not share information then its only "data". We are who we are by what we elect to do and not to do, not by simply being humans. Once information is given away then we acquire knowledge otherwise it is only data / merely information. And if information is acquire and never to be given then we deny rightfully knowledge.

We provide information and propitiate action, it's one of our key attributes, thus guaranteeing advancement in seeking success to you, your client base and thus us. When we elect to act with passion, based on our experience and information base, then that assist in factoring success into your equation for business or life. It has been said that we use a very small percentage of our capacity to analyse, act and succeed... We must realise that if our brain wave patterns are that of continuous homogenous patterns then brain activity is used less... But when in paradigm shifts we go back to information and thus trial and error... as we are experiencing in this "Knowledge Based Global E-conomy".

It is imperative to understand that information becomes knowledge when we act upon... information used or not used is the reason whom we are presently... Is it in the future? Organisations that have not progressed are those in a moratorium of knowledge and can easily become pray in a "Knowledge Based Global E-conomy". Only one single individual allow us to advance, that is each of us... our present actions are based on our past culture, values, mores in electing to do or not to do... and thus life goes on.
